2009-10 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS:
Bradford Power lifting competed at Kenton High School on Saturday, March 13, in the 2010 Division IV, V, VI State Power lifting Meet. There were over 500 lifters representing 50 schools.
The Bradford girl’s team placed 3rd with a total of 4,750 lbs behind South Central High School with 4,865, and the State Champion Piketon High School with 5,100 lbs.
The Bradford boy’s team placed 13th with 10,295 lbs.
Top ten teams were:
1. Coal Grove - 14,000 lbs.
2. Kenton - 13,130 lbs.
3. Riverside - 12,690 lbs.
4. Otsego - 12,310 lbs.
5. Piketon - 12,230 lbs.
6. Elgin - 11,360 lbs.
7. South Central - 10,945 lbs.
8. Southington - 10,835 lbs.
9. Wheelersburg - 10,810 lbs.
10. Toledo Chr. - 10,560 lbs.
State Champions for Bradford were:
1st Place: Courtney Layman, 135 lb. class.
Courtney totaled 710 lbs. with the best squat of 330 lbs.
1st Place: Curt Hale, 125 lb. class.
Curt totaled 905 lbs with best squat of 375 lbs. and best bench of 190 lbs.
1st Place: Jordan Voisard, 145 lb. class.
Jordan totaled 1155 lbs. with the best squat of 475 lbs. and best bench of 275 lbs. Tied the state record in the bench.
